*This is an in-person meeting where I play pieces for you to audition, up to one hour. If you waive this session, my preferred means of planning your program is by email. You may also entrust the selections to me, in which case there is no charge, as in Options #1 and 4.

After viewing my credentials, I hope you'll have confidence in my performance skills, but should you have any reservations--and since I do not currently have a CD of my playing--I will meet with you (gratis) to assure you of my keyboard proficiency. This would be in my studio at Belmont after I finish teaching piano at 7:30 p.m. any weekday. Additionally, I will gladly provide references.

AUXILIARY FEES:

• Weddings more than 20 miles from Brentwood will incur a base $30 travel expense fee plus 30¢ per mile. This applies to both rehearsal and ceremony. I calculate mileage using Mapquest.
• Extra rehearsals to accomodate soloists chosen by you will incur a fee per session, the amount based on travel and rehearsal time.
• If an instrument is not available at your site, a $75 setup fee is charged for transporting my own keyboard, amp and speaker system.
• As your keyboardist, I can subcontract vocalists and instrumentalists for a variety of chamber ensembles gratis. If hired solely as your consultant, my commission is 20% of the 3rd party's fee. Most musicians charge between $150 and $200 to perform at a wedding ceremony.

PARTIES

Rehearsal Dinners, Receptions, Christmas Parties, Birthdays/Showers...

• I am also available to play piano for social events at the rate of $100 dollars per hour. I play a variety of styles (pop, jazz, light rock, CCM, etc.) covering several decades, and am happy to accomodate special requests.

Q: "Is it important for the musician to attend my rehearsal?"
A: See my thoughts at Rehearsal.

Retainer: 50% Deposit

After reviewing my services and rates, and confirming my availability for your date, submit the Contract Form to hire me. Then mail a check for half of our agreed-upon fee to my home address (on business card below) or use my preferred method of payment:
Acceptance Mark
If you are a member, send payment (bank transfer or PayPal balance) to 88keys@pianomail.net and if you are not a member, click the logo for information on opening an account. You can also request that an invoice be sent to you. I'm sorry I do not take credit cards at this time.

This deposit constitutes a contract between us. The balance is payable at the rehearsal. If there is no rehearsal--or I am not playing for the rehearsal-- I strongly recommend paying the balance prior to the ceremony, as you don't need to be bothered with one more detail on the wedding day itself. If you have a coordinator, let her handle the finances--it's part of her job!
